Man Charged With Unlawful Work On Former Gala Bingo Site!

‘A Bingo Club Owner’ who bought ‘Gala Bingo Club’ in Kensington has apparently been charged with bull dozing work at an historic cinema site and it has been reported that he made alterations to ‘Gala Bingo Club’ on 14/07/2010 and this club is based in Richmond Road!

The building, which was reported as a listing building is the main reason for the charge.   The man runs a nearby nightclub and bought the freehold of the bingo club two years ago!  Local residents feared the bingo club would be turned into another nightclub and over 800 local residents had signed a petition against this.

The historic building is old and apparently dates back to 1932 and was designed by “Robert Cromie”

Apparently the man from Twickenham is to appear at Richmond Magistrates’ Court on 13^th March 2012.
