I’m not sure exactly how many people Meg managed to make a millionaire during her time on the show, but she may be able to deliver a prize to those with more realistic financial aspirations courtesy of this Gamesys 50-Ball bingo game!

Mystic Meg Bingo50-Ball bingo is a quickfire variant of the game, with a single prize offered in each round for the lucky player who matches all ten numbers on a single ticket. The Mystic Meg theme is clear to see, as the tickets do not contain any traditional numbers! Instead, you’ll need to match ten mystical symbols, including zodiac signs, star constellations, and other astrological depictions. Each game offers a guaranteed prize pool of £25; this doesn’t sound like much, and indeed it isn’t, but during quiet hours this can make for a very profitable game if you are willing to purchase the maximum number of tickets each round.
The game was very quiet when I tested it to write this review, but the tickets were still priced very near the bottom end of the range at just 10p each. Tickets can reach as much as £3 each at other times, but the guaranteed prize pool does increase in line with the more expensive ticket prices, according to the Sun Bingo website. Each player is only permitted to purchase one ticket for each round. This is an interesting rule as it ensures that every player has an equal chance of winning the full house prize or one of those much-vaunted progressive jackpots!

That being said, Mystic Meg Bingo is a little different from other 50-Ball games, so be sure to come back here afterwards if you do!
Because Mystic Meg Bingo does not use typical balls, you’ll need to keep a careful eye on each symbol. If you are a more traditional player who enjoys seeing your cards being marked off in real-time! A manual mode is available, but I would not recommend trying to use it on a game such as this – it’s far too easy to confuse or miss a symbol on your ticket, which could result in you losing a game that you should have won!
Whilst there is only one Mystic Meg bingo room, four games take place simultaneously, each of which has a different coin size. The available bets are £0.10, £0.50, £1.00, and £2.00, but you can only participate in one of the four games at a time.

Mystic Meg Bingo full house winnerMystic Meg does not include a bonus round of the sort included in other games such as Rainbow Riches or Deal or no Deal, but it does at least offer two progressive jackpots known as the ‘Mini Meg’ and the ‘Mystic Meg.’

If the full house prize is claimed within 19 calls, the smaller Mini Meg progressive jackpot prize will be activated. However, the larger jackpot requires a full ticket to be cleared in just 16 calls, which is much more difficult and leads to this prize being won far less often.
The Mini Meg jackpot is seeded at 200x the cost of a single ticket, whilst the larger Mystic Meg jackpot is guaranteed to pay at least 1,600x the normal ticket price. These jackpots tend to be won fairly frequently, although a freak case in 2021 saw the larger Mystic Meg jackpot reach a stunning £19,000!
Simply playing in the room at the time that a jackpot is won is enough to grab yourself a share of the prize fund – 50% of the total is paid to the full house winner, with the remaining 50% being divided equally amongst all other players who held a ticket in the winning game.

The theme of Mystic Meg bingo won’t be for everyone, but the quick-fire nature of 50-Ball bingo combined with two progressive jackpots has ensured that the game has remained a favourite across bingo sites for some years now. Still, if you are too young to remember Mystic Meg, I suspect that there will be plenty of other 50-Ball games that will be of far more interest to you.
