Unlike most other 90-Ball games, this one offers just a single prize for hitting the full house – no one or two-line payouts are included here! In addition to speeding up the gameplay, this also has an added side effect of increasing the size of the full house prize, which was typically around 300x the cost of a single ticket during the time that I was writing this review.
The ‘blast’ part of Bingo Blast refers to a unique aspect of the game whereby half of the 90 bingo balls are called immediately at the start of each round. These two quick ‘blasts’ ensure you’ll fill a few numbers on each card instantly, contributing to a very fast game of 90-Ball Bingo. When Bingo Blast first launched, the game did not include a progressive jackpot – that has since changed as the title has grown in popularity, and today this prize stands at just over £950 – a tidy sum for a game with tickets that start at just £0.02p each!

Bingo BlastYou might expect a game named ‘Bingo Blast’ to feature rocket ships, fire, and explosions, but there’s nothing of the sort to be found here! Instead, the game takes place in a most serene setting, with sheep wandering across the plains and butterflies dancing across the backdrop. Upon further investigation, it turns out that the background theme of Bingo Blast changes from time to time – right now, the game is subtitled ‘Blossom Blast’, which explains the picturesque setting, but the game has also previously boasted a Christmas-focused Winter theme under the subtitle ‘Snowball Blast’. This is actually quite an interesting aspect of the game as far as I’m concerned, and it keeps things fresh whilst retaining the same gameplay that fans of the title know and love.
The tickets used in Bingo Blast are standard 90-Ball cards with three rows of five numbers each, but you can also opt for a simplified view where each ticket is represented by a simple row of numbers with an “x to go” count displayed on the right-hand side. Ticket prices can vary from as little as 2p each up to a maximum of £2.00, although I never witnessed anything except 5p tickets being offered during the time that I was playing the game. There is a guaranteed prize of £5.00 available during each round, but it seems unlikely that this will ever fail to be exceeded under regular conditions – each player is permitted up to 75 tickets each, and you would only need four players purchasing 75 2p tickets before this minimum guarantee would be met.
As mentioned earlier, every game awards just a single prize for hitting all 15 numbers on one of your tickets, making this one of the fastest 90-Ball Bingo games that you are ever likely to come across. I saw some rounds complete in under two minutes while I was testing the game, and I even witnessed a couple that barely lasted more than a minute!
how to play bingo blast
First up, it’s important to mention that this game is typically not open during all hours of the day. For example, at the time of writing, the site where I played Bingo Blast – PlayOJO – was only offering the game between 7 am and 9 am, before a long closure until 5 pm when the game again opened for a further five hours of play. It’s possible that different sites may offer the game on different schedules, however – you can find Bingo Blast at Heart Bingo, Mirror Bingo, Zeus Bingo, and Daily Record Bingo, in addition to all other sites that are based on the Pragmatic Play Bingo Platform.
At the start of each round, you’ll notice around 20 bingo balls swirling around in a tornado-like pattern before expanding to reveal their numbers. Every number displayed on these balls will be immediately marked off every card you and the other players have purchased with matching numbers. This process will then repeat for a second time for a total of 45 balls being immediately removed from the pool, leaving just 45 balls that can potentially be called during the remainder of the round.
It's entirely possible for a player to win the game just from these first two blasts alone – should that occur, they will also instantly win the progressive jackpot, as this is paid to any player who completes an entire card in 36 calls or less.

The Bingo Blast Progressive Jackpot seeds at £200, meaning this is the absolute minimum it can ever award. The prize currently stands at £942.69, with 5% of the price of every ticket contributing to increasing this jackpot even further until it is eventually won. I struggled to find any data regarding how often the jackpot is won in this game, unfortunately, but I can tell you that you’ll need to complete your entire card in 36 calls or less to claim the jackpot prize.
Additionally, this is a player-only progressive jackpot. If you are lucky enough to complete one of your cards within the specified 36 balls or less, you’ll get to keep the entire sum for yourself rather than having to share it with the other players in the room!

- I’m not entirely convinced that calling 45 balls in the first few seconds offers any real advantage over a game that has just 90 balls in the first place!

Bingo Blast was a little quiet when I was testing the game, but that is perhaps to be expected after midnight on a weekday! As such, the prizes on offer were relatively small but still represented around 300x the cost of a single ticket. It may even be worth sticking around even later – the quieter the room becomes, the greater the chances are that the minimum guarantee will exceed the amount paid by players for tickets, resulting in a higher RTP percentage!
