deal or no Deal 75 ball bingo

  • Studio: Playtech
  • Our Rating: 9.0

Traditionally, 90-Ball bingo has been the preferred game amongst UK bingo players. When online bingo first took off in the early 21st century, however, we soon got a taste for the 75-Ball version preferred by our American cousins as well. We’ve already looked at the 90-Ball version of Deal or No Deal bingo, and the obvious question must surely be why did Playtech feel it was worth creating a 75-Ball Deal or no Deal Bingo as well? Both games feature the same Banker Bonus round, and whilst the progressive jackpots work a little differently here, it is still more or less the same feature. So what’s the difference?

The first real point of note is that each game of Deal or No Deal 75-Ball offers five prizes rather than the three available in the 90-Ball version. Despite this, the progressive jackpot offered here is currently only around 75% of that offered in the 90-Ball game at roughly 150,000x the cost of a single ticket. The jackpot seeds lower here, too – the lowest possible jackpot that can be won is £3,000, equivalent to 30,000x the price of a standard 10p ticket.

deal or no deal 75 ball bingo theme, tickets & prizes

Deal or no Deal 75 Ball BingoDeal or no Deal 75 Ball Bingo

Playtech has stuck with the key fundamentals of the 90-Ball game as far as implementing aspects of the popular television show. For example, 20 boxes are visible in the top-left corner of the screen during each round, and by the end of the game, there will be just two remaining. The winner of the five-line prize gets to choose whether to open their lucky box or swap it for the only other remaining box. All other players with tickets for the current round get to place a vote on what the winner should do, but only the five-line winner gets to make the final decision.

The price of a ticket for Deal or No Deal 75-Ball bingo looks to be £0.10 at most times of the day, although this does fluctuate if the room is particularly quiet or busy. You may expect cheaper tickets to mean smaller prizes, but this is not always the case – tickets tend to go up in price when the room is quiet, so more expensive tickets will often mean your chances of hitting a win are higher. Likewise, buying a bunch of cheap tickets is a lot of fun, but your chances of winning are much lower if every player in the room also has the full complement of a maximum of 42 tickets each.

how to play deal or no deal 75 ball bingo

If you aren’t familiar with 75-Ball bingo yet, I recommend reading our article on the game to give you a basic overview of how this bingo format works before playing Deal or No Deal 75-Ball.

Each ticket consists of 25 squares divided into five rows and five columns. Each square contains a number between 1 and 75, except for the middle square, which is known as a “free square” and contains a star instead.

You can choose to purchase between 1 and 42 tickets per game, each of which has the potential to win you up to five prizes. Every game offers a prize for hitting a single line – horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. In addition, there are prizes for completing two, three, or four such lines and a final “full house” prize for completing the entire ticket.

Deal or No Deal 75-Ball includes the same two special features as in the 90-Ball variant. These additional features make this a much more fun game than typical 75-Ball bingo, as well as tying in beautifully with the Deal or No Deal television show.

bankers deal bonus

As the bingo caller draws numbers, any box with a matching number will be removed from play. The winner of the full house prize will be given an offer by the banker based on the value of the two remaining boxes. The prize awarded by the banker is paid in addition to the regular prize for the full house.

Progressive jackpot

The progressive jackpot prize offered in Deal or No Deal 75-Ball “seeds” at £3,000, which means that the jackpot will automatically reset to this amount after it has been won. The jackpot is funded by a small contribution taken from the price of every ticket, which does mean that this game has a slightly lower RTP than other 75-Ball games.

To win the jackpot, a player must complete a full bingo ticket (full house prize) within 43 calls or less. The player who achieves this will receive 50% of the current jackpot amount, with the remaining 50% divided by all other players who had tickets in that particular round.

Pros

  • Popular franchise is likely to attract a large number of players.
  • 75-Ball format offers more prizes than the 90-Ball game.
  • Additional box prize can substantially boost a full-house win.

Cons

  • The progressive jackpot offered in this version of Deal or No Deal seeds at £3,000, rather than £5,000 in the 90-Ball game.
  • The bonus round is very difficult to reach, as it requires you to win a full house first.
  • Not much effort has been made to differentiate this version of the game from the other Deal or No Deal bingo variants.

deal or no deal 75 ball bingo final thoughts

This game is very similar to the 90-Ball version of Deal or No Deal bingo, so which one you choose is likely to come down to personal preference. The 90-Ball version is likely to appeal to those who prefer higher volatility games, as a game with three prizes is sure to have bigger payouts than one with five.
