The rules of 90-ball bingo are as follows:

• Purchase your tickets – see our strategies section below for some advice on this aspect of the game!

• The bingo caller begins the game by calling numbers at random. Note, if the announcer's voice annoys you, why not try one of our many other bingo variants instead?

• Each number called is automatically marked off from your bingo card(s). Note that you may prefer the simplified view option, which removes all previously shouted numbers from your card.

• The first player to complete each of the three patterns wins a prize – see below.

• After the winning card is verified, the player is paid, the round concludes, and a new one begins.

A 90-ball bingo ticket consists of three rows of five numbers each, although each row also contains two blank spaces. The columns are laid out chronologically, meaning that only numbers one through three can appear on the first row, four through seven on the second, five through seven on the third and so forth. This makes for a total of 15 playable numbers on each bingo ticket (or card)

Generally speaking, the best strategy is to look out for promotions on cheap tickets or even wait for the times of day when tickets are sold for the lowest amount. The more tickets you have in a game, the better your chances are of winning on one or more of them.

Many 90-Ball bingo games have a progressive jackpot linked to them, giving you a chance to win a life-changing sum of money just by playing your favourite bingo games! This really comes down to personal preference – the tickets are laid out differently, and 75-ball bingo is now a more evolved game in that it often involves a more complicated winning layout than simply crossing off lines or columns on your card. This matters little when playing online, but it does increase the variance somewhat – you could find you have several completed lines, but a player beats you to a win because they obtain the necessary layout pattern that was decided at the beginning of the game.

Effectively then, 90-Ball bingo is a much more straightforward game – you only need to worry about clearing those all-important first, second, and third complete horizontal lines! Of course, none of this matters if you are playing in the simplified view whereby your tickets are shown in a “number-to-go“ format.

In truth, when it comes down to which is the better, it’s often all down to what each individual player prefers, and many punters will opt to play the game that has been kindest to them in the past!
