We’ve all played the classic board game Snakes & Ladders at some point during our lives. Snakes and Ladders BingoMany well-known board games have been transformed into games of chance over the last decade or two, often with fantastic results. Monopoly is perhaps the most obvious example – there must be more than half a dozen popular slots based around that game alone. Snakes & Ladders is a true classic, though – it’s one of the simplest board games I can remember, and I genuinely couldn’t imagine how Playtech could somehow transform the game into the online bingo format. In reality, this is only a very lightly themed version of 90-Ball bingo – the bonus round is very much Snakes & Ladders, but you’ll be lucky to see that more than once or twice each week!
The game uses standard 90-Ball bingo tickets – these consist of three rows of five numbers each, and you’ll need to purchase at least six of them for every round you wish to participate in. Ticket prices vary depending on the time of day and the number of players currently in the room, but the minimum price is just 3p a ticket. The maximum price is not stated anywhere that I could see, but the highest price I spotted was 10p per ticket. The game is available between 10AM and 1AM each day.

Each round offers three standard prizes for the first player to fill one line, two lines, or a full house, and there’s also an extra payout for any player(s) who have one number left on their card when the full house is called.
That extra payout – known as a 1TG prize – is the main special feature of Snakes & Ladders Bingo. Every player who holds a card with one number still to go will be taken to a Snakes & Ladders board game at the end of each round. Don’t worry if you didn’t do so well though – the other players in the room still get to watch the action unfold!

When you play a bingo game with a progressive jackpot, a small percentage of the ticket price goes towards funding those jackpots. Because Snakes & Ladders doesn’t include any such prize, the payouts available for the standard one line, two line, and full house prizes are much better than in a comparable game with a progressive jackpot.
For me, that alone makes Snakes & Ladders a worthwhile 90-Ball game, but I understand if you would prefer to play a game that offers a jackpot prize – it’s always nice to have the option though, don’t you think?
